Meet Your Photographers

Meet True-Life-Photography's Senior Photographer & Owner
I suppose I should put here how long I have been taking pictures, why I love photography, etc.  but lately I have been pondering growing older and growing up and what that means - what you lose and what you gain as you journey along the path the Lord has placed you on.  Part of those musings have involved looking back over the last 10 years or so photographically and seeing how I have changed both inside and out , and, seeing the joy I have been able to capture in my life and in others through the images I have been allowed to take and share.
At the end of the day this review of my photographic odyssey had affirmed for me once again the importance of documenting your life through photography, small moments and large.  We only get one time around on this marvelously breathtaking roller coaster ride called life - enjoy it, laugh at yourself daily,  love often and love hard, hold onto those who make everyday more meaningful,  embrace the things that hurt you as ultimately they only add depth to your life, emulate Yahweh in your daily walk, trust God in all things, and live life fully.

My Background & Experience
I grew up in and around photography and camera stores.  My father is a professional photographer and spent decades in the industry both as a photographer and as a sales rep for a leading camera company and later as the vice-president for a major camera store chain here in Texas.  I begin working with my father in one of his camera shops the Christmas before I turned 13 - a job I kept all through college.  I took many photography classes in college and did freelance sports photography for a local paper covering the Texas Rangers.  I also did freelance work in the field of commercial photography.
I can never remember not taking pictures and from a very young age I was always being asked to take pictures for others.

I started True-Life-Photography eight years ago after my dearest friend finally convinced me that I was being selfish keeping my joy in capturing images for others to myself and a few of my closest friends.  I was afraid that entering back into the professional world of photography would turn one of my very favorite things to do into a chore, a hum-drum job, and I didn't want photography to be tainted that way - she finally convinced me I was wrong and I am quite happy to report all these years later that she was right!  Hundreds of families, dozens and dozens of teams, a spattering of corporate events, and even a few weddings later and I am still just as much in love with capturing moments in time for others as I was the day I started.  Every time I finish a session I thank God for blessing me with the time I just spent.  It is an honor and a joy to be allowed such an intimate peek into my clients' lives - if just for a moment - to capture the heart of a family, the spirit of a team - this is an amazing job indeed!

Meet True-Life-Photography's Assistant Photographer & Lead Natural Light
Manager

Natural light manager is a fancy way of saying I am the guy that holds the diffuser and keeps
the sunlight out of your eyes during your photo session.  I also am the second camera at many sports sessions.  I didn't grow up in photography but I took classes in college and did freelance sports and commercial photography in my younger years.  I love watching my wife work, love seeing her utilize the gift God has given her to bless others, and love hearing our clients' reactions to the images she consistently captures.

Meet True-Life-Photography's Jr. Photographer

Since the day I was born photography has been a part of my life.  My Mother is a professional photographer and the owner of True-Life-Photography and my Grandpa is a professional photographer too.  I love the challenge of capturing a image at just the right moment, the patience and perseverance it takes sometimes to get the image on camera the way you see it in your head.  Right now I am second camera-man at sports sessions, but I am constantly learning  and am looking forward to expanding into portraits and doing more with nature and pet photography.
